How do you classify it when it is so cold that your body is not reconciled to the cold?
I can put on a coat, wear warm pants and good winter shoes, put on a goofy knit cap and wrap myself in yards of scarves, and still feel that penetrating cold that hurts every pore in my body. Let's not even talk about what it does to my lungs.
I'm going home to make some hot chocolate.

Ok, you got me. What are the little numbers at the end of your posts?
Oops, sorry...
Thirty thousand two-hundred ninety.
Grr. Nanowrimo words?
So Laura, define cold for us.
I actually thought that 40 degrees was extremely warm the other day. I was fine in a sweatshirt and jeans. It's so weird how quickly you get used to it- it's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be (yet).
That's our little icicle! I can't wait to hear you were in a sweatshirt and shorts. Must admit I'm jealous, all that crisp frosty morning air and fluffy snow, ahhhh. But I am savoring the cold snap down here and although ice isn't snow, it might tell my northern brain it's winter.
